The 5 Big Things In iOS13
Every Apple user is excited about iOS13 and few days ago Apple has announced iOS 13 onstage at WWDC 2019, the thirteenth big update to the iOS mobile operating system is designed to give your iPhone a whole fresh look.
Here are the most exciting fresh characteristics and add-ons coming in this fall's iOS 13.
1 Dark Mode
The biggest feature for iOS 13 is the new Dark Mode. Dark mode, which replaces the usual light screen with a dark screen, is available across core apps in iOS 13, including the calendar, music and photo apps. Perfect for low-light environments, Dark Mode is easier on your eyes and won’t disturb people around you.
2 Sign in with Apple
“Sign in with Apple” lets Apple users log into third-party apps and services by using the Face ID or Touch ID credentials created on their device. Apple is taking on Facebook Connect, Google and other platforms that allow you to conveniently sign in to third-party accounts. This new feature is a seamless and secure option where you can authenticate with your touch or face Id and it is poised to protect your privacy more than Facebook and Google do.
Apple is completely redoing Apple Maps with ios13. The new map feature is similar to Google Street View which Apple calls Look Around. There's more realistic detail for roads, beaches, parks, and buildings, and you can now explore cities with a 3D 360-degree experience. These updates are currently available to the US only, in 2020 more countries will be added to the list.
4 Quick Path
Apple finally added a new swipe keyboard option with iOS 13. Branded as QuickPath, the new gesture-based keyboard is available directly from the system keyboard. Apple has now brought its own first-party QuickPath swipe keyboard to iOS, there’s no need to switch between different keyboards to access dictation, the new Memoji picker, and more. As usual, it feels like the integration between the QuickPatch swipe keyboard and the rest of iOS is what sets it apart from other similar typing experiences from third-party options on iOS.
5 Video Editing
iOS 13 for the first time brings powerful video editing features to the Photos application. Apple will give users the ability to edit videos with the same array of tools, options, and filters as in photo editing. Yes, that means you can apply filters, adjust brightness and even crop a video right in the Photos app.
